Tasmania's Energy Saver Loan Scheme

Energy saving measures can reduce your power bills, increase your property’s value and improve the comfort of your home.

The Energy Saver Loan Scheme provides interest-free loans from $500 to $10 000 to eligible applicants to help fund the purchase and installation of energy-efficient products and upgrades. This includes solar panel and batteries, heat pumps, energy-efficient appliances, and EV charging infrastructure.

Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme

The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme reduces the cost of most new residential rooftop solar systems by providing a subsidy for households that install renewable energy technologies.

Cheaper Home Batteries Program

The Australian Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program provides eligible households with up to a 30 per cent discount on the price of a new battery that is connected to a home solar system.

The program will be delivered through the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
