More Tasmanians are making the dream of home ownership a reality with the MyHome shared equity program.

One MyHome customer, Josh, is enjoying living in the home he recently built, reflecting on the feelings of security and independence that come from having you own home

“I’m free to do what I want with my home, have it set out the way that I want. What I really value is the fact it’s ‘mine’, and the independence that comes with having my own place,” Josh said.

With MyHome, Homes Tasmania shares the cost of buying with the homeowner.

“It means that my repayments are a little less with MyHome, meaning I have got extra cash each fortnight to put towards other areas of the house,” Josh said.
