From 1 November 2025, the price cap for purchases of newly constructed homes or house and land packages has been lifted to $800 000, up from $750 000.

This will mean more new homes and house and land packages will be eligible for the MyHome program, helping more Tasmanians access assistance to build their new home.

MyHome has shown itself to be an incredibly popular program that is supporting Tasmanians to realise their dream of home ownership.

MyHome has helped 900 households into their own home, as at 30 September 2025, including 598 purchases of existing homes, 225 purchases of house and land packages and 77 purchases of newly built homes.
